I decided to quit
trying to get people to laugh, but to give people an opportunity to laugh.
If you will start
asking yourself, “what can I give instead of what can I get?” it will change
your entire life.
If you can’t
articulate the answer to that question, you revert to what can I get by default.
What good father
doesn’t want his children to laugh in his house?
If your house becomes
God’s house, there will be more laughter there too.
I decide to try to
help the homeless and those in prison. I went through 7 locked
prison gates by myself.
I walked into a
circle of about 300 inmates. It was a lot of pressure. I didn’t know
what I was going to do, or say until I got my feet to where they needed to be.
How did I know what
to say under that much pressure? What in your life have you been
practicing?
Are you going to put
yourself into a position to clearly hear the coach’s voice? The Holy
Spirit is the voice of the coach.
God is like the
navigational device for your car. It recalculates when you make
wrong turns.
You have to listen to His voice because the roads
change.
Your gift will make
room for you. Watch for your opportunities and listen to your coach.
God knows exactly
where you are right now. God wants me to tell you that He loves you.
That thing from your
past God didn’t do it, but He can use it. Have you ever noticed when God shows
up?
He has a reason for
your talents, abilities, and setbacks. God will never allow you to go through
more than you can.
You need to be strong
because people need to see Jesus in you. God did not cause it, but
He will use it to reach people.
You don’t go to
church because of hypocrites? How about Walgreen’s? They
are there, too.
If you allow a
hypocrite to come between you and God, he or she is actually closer to God than
you are.
Imagine that you are
a house, and Jesus is wanting to come in. He won’t come in unless
asked.
You won’t let Him
come in because your house is a mess, but He can see into your house
anyway.
Jesus is standing
outside of your house with a bucket and mop.
Some of you have a
good room, but the rest of the house is a wreck. Jesus wants access
to your entire house.
He’s come with a
contractor who is called the Holy Spirit to make the repairs.
Ask Jesus to come
into your life, and make His repairs.
Lord Jesus, I give
you access to every room of my life. Please come in and be my Lord
and Savior.
Revelation
3:20 (NIRV)
(Jesus speaking) Here I
am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door,
I will come in. I will eat with that person, and they will eat with me.
Do something
different in the physical, so God will do something different in the
spiritual. You can go to heaven if you want too.
