Your Present is His Presence

Jesus died for my yesterdays, so that He can have my tomorrows.

Luke 14:23 (NLT)
23 So his master said, ‘Go out into the country lanes and behind the hedges and urge anyone you find to come, so that the house will be full.

Ephesians 5:15 (NLT)
So be careful how you live. Don’t live like fools, but like those who are wise.

We have to position ourself for the opportunity.  We can never realize the opportunities if we're not prepared to step into them.

Kairos is an opportunity or supreme moment.  It is a passing instant when an opening appears which must be driven through with force if success is to be achieved.

What do we do:

1. Follow- not the same as believing.   God wants your commitment to obey.

Mark 8:34 (NLT)
34 Then, calling the crowd to join his disciples, he said, “If any of you wants to be my follower, you must give up your own way, take up your cross, and follow me.

2. Connect- You will only be as successful in your karios moment as you are connected.   Find a small group of believers.

Ephesians 4:9-12  (NLT)
Notice that it says “he ascended.” This clearly means that Christ also descended to our lowly world. 10 And the same one who descended is the one who ascended higher than all the heavens, so that he might fill the entire universe with himself.
11 Now these are the gifts Christ gave to the church: the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, and the pastors and teachers.
12 Their responsibility is to equip God’s people to do his work and build up the church, the body of Christ.

Ecclesiastes 4:9  (NLT)
Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed.

3. Discover your purpose that God has for you.

Psalm 139:13-16 (NLT)
13 You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body
and knit me together in my mother’s womb.
14 Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex!
Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it.
15 You watched me as I was being formed in utter seclusion,
as I was woven together in the dark of the womb.
16 You saw me before I was born.
Every day of my life was recorded in your book.
Every moment was laid out
before a single day had passed.

4. Serve with the gifts that you have been given.

1 Peter 4:10 (NLT)
10 God has given each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another and make a difference.

John 15:8 (NLT)
When you produce much fruit, you are my true disciples. This brings great glory to my Father.

Your joy is connected to the fruit that you bear.
