Course Correction

(Revelation 3:7-8) “What he opens no one can shut, and what he shuts no one can open. I know your deeds. See, I have placed before you an open door that no one can shut.”

FINDING THE RIGHT DOOR

(Ephesians 5:17) “Be very careful, then, how you live--not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord's will is.”

 God’s moral will. What God has already said in His Word.

 God’s sovereign will. What God is doing on the earth.

 The more I get to know the moral will of God and the sovereign will of God, the better I will find God’s will for my life.

(Psalm 139:16) “Your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.”

(Romans 8:28) “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”

COURSE CORRECTION

(Romans 5:20) “But where sin increased, grace increased all the more.”

(Romans 6:1-2) “Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? By no means! We died to sin; how can we live in it any longer?”

(Isaiah 30:21) “Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, ‘This is the way; walk in it.’”

1. What am I doing that I should not be doing?

(Romans 12:2) “Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is--his good, pleasing and perfect will.”

(Proverbs 4:25-27) “Let your eyes look straight ahead, fix your gaze directly before you. Make level paths for your feet and take only ways that are firm. Do not swerve to the right or the left; keep your foot from evil.”

2. What am I not doing that I should be doing?

(James 4:17) “Anyone, then, who knows the good he ought to do and doesn’t do it, sins.”

(1 Peter 4:2) “As a result, he does not live the rest of his earthly life for evil human desires, but rather for the will of God.”

3. Why not do it today?

(2 Corinthians 6:2) “For he says, ‘In the time of my favor I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you.’ I tell you, now is the time of God's favor, now is the day of salvation.”
