Our Father's Plan

Our Father has a plan for me, but my behavior kept me from it.

It didn't stop me from being my Father's son.

Your salvation is not a result of your works, but my works is a result of my salvation.

Joshua 1:2 (NKJV)

“Moses My servant is dead. Now therefore, arise, go over this Jordan, you and all this people, to the land which I am giving to them—the children of Israel.

Revelation 21:5 (NKJV)

Then He who sat on the throne said, “Behold, I make all things new.” And He said to me, “Write, for these words are true and faithful.”

God said in the last chapter of the Bible that He is about to do something new.  Something never seen before.

Psalm 96:1  (NKJV)

Oh, sing to the Lord a new song!
Sing to the Lord, all the earth.

Don't come into a New Year with an old song. God wants to do something amazing, but we're wanting to doing something the same.

When we can't figure things out, God already got it figured out.

Don't get comfortable in a place you haven't been called too.  Don't sacrifice your calling for your comfort.

Don't hold onto the hand of the Father, but settle for whatever is in front of us.

1.  This won't be easy, but it will be good.

2.  You can't stay here.

Joshua 1:11  (NKJV)

11 “Pass through the camp and command the people, saying, ‘Prepare provisions for yourselves, for within three days you will cross over this Jordan, to go in to possess the land which the Lord your God is giving you to possess.’ ”

Joshua talked as if it was a done deal.  We are going to possess it.

3. Get ready.  Stop wasting time on what you don't have.

God doesn't ask for perfection, but for availability.

Psalm 27:4 (NKJV)

One thing I have desired of the Lord,
That will I seek:
That I may dwell in the house of the Lord
All the days of my life,
To behold the beauty of the Lord,
And to inquire in His temple.

Let the presence of God be your one thing.  Let Him be the center of all you do.

4.  You have a promise.

God is going to be with you, and will not forsake you.  It's going to be hard, but God is there.

What is God wanting to start, but He is waiting on you to step?  (Joshua 3:14-17)
