Points of Passion

Acts 1:8) “You will be My witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

(James 1:27 Message) “Real religion, the kind that passes muster before God the Father, is this: Reach out to the homeless and loveless in their plight…”

1. Pray. (Matthew 9:37-38) “Then he (Jesus) said to his disciples, ʻThe harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.ʼ”

2. Go. (Isaiah 6:8-9) Then I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?” Then I said, “Here am I. Send me!” He said, “Go, and tell this people...”

3. Give. (Matthew 6:19-21) “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”

The Passion of the Christ

(Revelation 21:1-3) Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, "Now the dwelling of God is with men, and he will live with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God.”

(Ephesians 5:27 NCV) “He died so that he could give the church to himself like a bride in all her beauty.”

(Hebrews 12:2) “…who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame.”

1. Realize how much He loves you. (John 3:16) “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

2. Love Him back. (Mark 12:30-31) “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. And love your neighbor as yourself. Thereʼs no greater commandment than these.”

3. Love what He loves. (2 Corinthians 5:14-15) “For Christʼs love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died. And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again.”
