We must live by the will of God first.
We must not live by feelings, but by faith.
There is a sovereign will of God, the moral will of God, and the personal will of God.
We want to know the personal will of God, but we must know
the sovereign will of God and the moral will of God
first.
The sovereign will of God is something that's going to happen
no matter what you do.
Like Jesus is going to return. We must position ourselves to get into what God is doing.
Like Jesus is going to return. We must position ourselves to get into what God is doing.
The moral will of God is like whether to steal or not.
We must not steal (Exodus 20:15).
We should ask these two questions daily.
We should ask these two questions daily.
1. What am I doing that I should not be doing?
2. What am I not doing that I should be doing?
Psalm 139:23-24 (ESV)
Search me, O God, and know my heart!
Try me and know my thoughts!
And see if there be any grievous way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting!

Here are 6 questions to help you determine what God's will
for you is.
1. Am I in a right relationship with God?

Do
not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind,
that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and
acceptable and perfect.
2.
What does the Bible say about it?
Psalm
119:105 (ESV)

and
a light to my path.
3.
what Jesus would do?
James 3:14-17 (ESV)
14 But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in
your hearts, do not boast and be false to the truth.
15 This is not the wisdom that comes down from above, but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic.
15 This is not the wisdom that comes down from above, but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic.
16 For where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there will be disorder and every vile practice.
17 But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable,
gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere.
Do you consider
others when you make decisions?
4.
Have I sought Godly counsel?
These are people who love
God and love you. They must value you more than your
friendship.
Proverbs
11:14 (ESV)
14 Where
there is no guidance, a people falls,
but in an abundance of counselors there is safety.
but in an abundance of counselors there is safety.
5.
Do I feel God's peace?
1
Corinthians 14:33 (ESV)
For God is not a God of confusion but of peace.
Colossians
3:15 (ESV)
15 And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts,
Jeremiah
29:11 (ESV)
For I know the plans I
have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.
Just because it
is a good decision does not mean that it's a God decision.
6.
Is it my will or God's will?
Is it what I
want or what God wants?
We must not pray
me first prayers.
God has place
within you a desire to do His will if you'd just put your will aside.
Romans 10:13 (ESV)
13 For “everyone
who calls on the name of the Lord (Jesus) will be saved.”
