Why the Holy Spirit Edits our Prayers

Romans 8:26-28  (NKJV)

Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is,

because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.

When we pray, God works.  We may not fully understand it.

The Holy Spirit changes our prayers before they get to God our Father.

The Holy Spirit prays what we would pray if we know all that God knows.

Matthew 7:7  (NKJV)

“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.

Jesus told us to pray, so let's pray.

Matthew 10:30 (NKJV)

30 But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.

If God knows the hairs of your head, God hears your prayers, and knows how to answer.

Exodus 17:9-11(NKJV)

And Moses said to Joshua, “Choose us some men and go out, fight with Amalek. Tomorrow I will stand on the top of the hill with the rod of God in my hand.”
So Joshua did as Moses said to him, and fought with Amalek. And Moses, Aaron, and Hur went up to the top of the hill.
And so it was,

when Moses held up his hand, that Israel prevailed; and when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed.

We must keep our hands up in prayer and worship of God.  When we do, God intervenes.
