Be Filled with the Holy Spirit

An automobile has an engine. Without gas, the automobile becomes a burden because you have to push it. It must be filled to work. 

When God saved you, God gave you a faith with an engine in it. We shouldn't have to push our faith either.

Are you being filled with and empowered by the Holy Spirit? God has commanded you to be filled. If you are not being filled, you are in disobedience to God. 

It is a greater sin to not be filled with the Holy Spirit than to be drunk with wine. 

The church has a greater problem with people not being filled with the Spirit than with them being drunk.

How horrible it is for someone to come to the platform to speak and not be filled with the Holy Spirit since this sin is worse. 

Why did Paul contrast and compare being filled with the Spirit to drunkenness? 

Because drunkenness influences how we talk, walk, and think, even so the Holy Spirit must control how we talk, walk, and think.
