Courage or Cowardice?

We must be good stewards of our gifts, talents, and acquired skills.  The cemeteries are filled with unfilled people.

We have been gifted with the solutions for the problems that are meant to be solved.  We must not settle.

What separates those who are fruitful and those who are not?  Courage. Courage makes the difference.

It's not the most gifted, but those with the most courage.  It doesn't matter how gifted I am if I don't have the courage to put it to use. At it's core, courage is an expression of faith.

God moves incrementally but not incompletely.  The Cross teaches us to have faith in Jesus, but also to have faith like Jesus.  Jesus had to have faith that His Father would raise Him from the dead.

We are encouraged to be like Jesus in all of His attributes but not faith.  Why is that?  Why not his faith too?  Yes, we must have faith like Jesus too.

Do not allow what you do not have to prevent you from using what you do have.  God doesn't need what you do no have to work in your life.

In Mark 6:5, a few people got what was available for the many.  God opens doors that no man can shut (Revelation 3:8).

Under the banner of religion our motive is desperation and not faith. Are you committed to an answer from Him but not Him?

Matthew 9:27-30  (NIV)
27 As Jesus went on from there, two blind men followed him, calling out, “Have mercy on us, Son of David!”

28 When he had gone indoors, the blind men came to him, and he asked them, “Do you believe that I am able to do this?”

Jesus is teaching us the power of questions. Maybe Jesus is teaching us how to question God.

Questioning God is not a problem, but asking the wrong question is.  "Is anything to hard for God?"  Do you believe that God is able to do this?

The issue of faith is not the size of our faith, but how broad it is.  Do you believe that God is able to do this?

“Yes, Lord,” they replied.

The blind men called Jesus the Son of David.  Then, they changed it up and called Him Lord, which is God's covenant name in Scripture.

The God you seek is the God you get. It means I am ______.  It's like an open check.  It's whatever you need.  Your God will be whatever you need Him to be.

29 Then he touched their eyes and said, “According to your faith let it be done to you”;

As a consequence of your faith, let it be done to you. They could have lived with their blindness their whole life when God was willing to heal them.

It was their faith to access what God preferred for them. God can't be pleased without faith (Hebrew 11:6).  Faith gets God's attention in the mass of all humanity (Mark 5:25-34).

30 and their sight was restored. Jesus warned them sternly, “See that no one knows about this.”

The Blind men's sight was restored.  At one point, they had sight but lost it.  The eyes of our head give sight.  The eyes of our heart give vision.

They saw who Jesus really was through the eyes of their heart, so He could heal the eyes of their head.

Have you lost your sight?  Have you been robbed of your purpose?  Has age robbed you of your dreams?

God has the ability to do in you what others say is too late.  Do you not see the way that you used to see?

What has injured your heart that has stolen your sight?  Are you living in lack or overflow?

Lord Jesus, please don't just teach me, but touch me to heal my spiritual eyes.
