The Problem is You!

Most of us want God's input in our lives.  This post is about knowing the will of God for you.  

Romans 12:2 (NIV)
Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. 

This is not a suggestion, but a command from the Lord through Paul. Instead of being conformed by the world to its pattern. Be transformed by God to His pattern which is our Lord Jesus Christ (Romans 8:29).  

Keep going back to what God has revealed to you about you in His Word.  If you do this, you will be able to discern God's will for you. 

Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

God's got a promise with your name on it.  We don't have a promise problem, but a pattern problem. We've been conforming to the world's pattern, and not transforming to the  Lord's pattern. 

When you get close to God, you don't mess Him up.  He'll mess you up by transforming you into His pattern to be like Jesus Christ. 

Have you ever been betrayed by someone when you needed them the most? Peter said that he'd cut someone for Jesus, but he denied him three times (Matthew 26:35,75).

Then, Peter gave up on himself, so he went back to fishing. (Luke 5:8, John 21) Do you feel stuck in your life?  It's when you go back to your past. 

1. You need to renew your view of God.  

God's not looking for a reason to punish you.  If God wanted you dead, you'd be dead. Jesus told Peter that he would fail, but it wouldn't cost him his destiny.  (Luke 22:32) 

Do you love Jesus more than you love your past?  The question is do you still love Jesus? Then, your purpose is still in tact.  (Read John 21).  

When you begin to declare your love for Jesus, He'll show you your purpose.  Live from the love of Jesus.  Fall in love with Jesus.  You'll walk away from your past.

2. You need to renew your view of you.  

You speak 20,000 to 30,000 words a day.  You speak to yourself 70,000 a day.  What are you telling you. It is a matter of life or death.

21 The tongue has the power of life and death,
    and those who love it will eat its fruit.

Matthew 12:36  (NIV)
36 But I(Jesus) tell you that everyone will have to give account on the day of judgment for every empty (idle, careless) word they have spoken.

We must change the way we think before we say them to ourselves and others. 

Philippians 4:8 (NIV)
Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. 

You have to talk yourself into some things.  You have to say it for you see it. It's Jesus's ability, but your faith. It's your natural, and His supernatural. 

Mark 11:23 (NIV)
23 “Truly I (Jesus) tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them. 

You must have faith in God, and not faith in you.  God does take care of your needs, but not all of your greeds.  

What Jesus just said in Mark 11:23 is not heresy.  The Bible's not logical.  It's faith.  You must talk yourself into believing.  

The woman who had the issue of blood had to talk her self into her miracle, and so must you.  Matthew 9:21  

We allow things that bind us that can't.  We must call things that are not as though they were (Romans 4:17 KJV). We are calling things that are like they are.

The Lord will command His loving kindness in the daytime,
And in the night His song shall be with me—
A prayer to the God of my life.

We must not sing our songs to God about our problems, but we must sing songs to God of praise.

Shout joyfully to the Lord, all the earth;
Break forth in song, rejoice, and sing praises.
        
The enemy is messing with your identity.  Say to yourself who God says that you are.  Not what the world says that you are.   

When you say "I am", you are evoking the name and power of God. (Exodus 3:14)  

God named you. Don't let your pattern of behavior determine your purpose. Old patterns die hard. You can't kill them, but God can. 

Jesus says do you love me?  If you do, God can still use you.  If you'll acknowledge Him, he'll acknowledge you (Matthew 10:32-33).  


Jesus, I'm going all in.  I am surrendering to you my patterns of the past.  Be my Lord and Savior.
