(Acts 1:8) “You will be My witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and
Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
(James 1:27 Message) “Real religion, the kind that passes muster
before God the Father, is this: Reach out to the homeless and loveless
in their plight…”
Principles that Produce Momentum
(Ephesians 6:2-3) “Honor your father and mother”--which is the first
commandment with a promise—“that it may go well with you and that
you may enjoy long life on the earth.”
(Numbers 3:17) “These were the names of the sons of Levi: Gershon,
Kohath and Merari.”
(Numbers 3:36-37) “The Merarites were appointed to take care of the
frames of the tabernacle, its crossbars, posts, bases, all its equipment,
and everything related to their use, as well as the posts of the
surrounding courtyard with their bases, tent pegs and ropes.”
(Numbers 3:25) “At the Tent of Meeting the Gershonites were
responsible for the care of the tabernacle and tent, its coverings, the
curtain at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting.”
(Numbers 3:31) “(Kohath was)…responsible for the care of the ark, the
table, the lampstand, the altars, the articles of the sanctuary used in
ministering, the curtain, and everything related to their use.”

(Numbers 7:1-3, 6-9) “When Moses finished setting up the
tabernacle, he anointed it and consecrated it and all its furnishings.
He also anointed and consecrated the altar and all its utensils.
Then the leaders of Israel, the heads of families who were the tribal
leaders in charge of those who were counted, made offerings.
They brought as their gifts before the LORD six covered carts and
twelve oxen--an ox from each leader and a cart from every two.
These they presented before the tabernacle… So Moses took the
carts and oxen and gave them to the Levites. He gave two carts
and four oxen to the Gershonites, as their work required, and he
gave four carts and eight oxen to the Merarites, as their work
required. They were all under the direction of Ithamar son of Aaron,
the priest. But Moses did not give any to the Kohathites, because
they were to carry on their shoulders the holy things, for which they
were responsible.”
