(Hebrews 12:1) Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great
cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin
that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race
marked out for us.
For when you wonder if your life really counts…
“One person can make a difference.”
(Genesis 6:5-8) The LORD saw how great man's wickedness on the
earth had become, and that every inclination of the thoughts of his
heart was only evil all the time. The LORD was grieved that he had
made man on the earth, and his heart was filled with pain. So the LORD
said, “I will wipe mankind, whom I have created, from the face of the
earth--men and animals, and creatures that move along the ground, and
birds of the air--for I am grieved that I have made them.” But Noah
found favor in the eyes of the LORD.
MAKING A DIFFERENCE
1. You can make a difference for your
family.
(Genesis 7:1) The Lord then said to Noah, “Go into the ark, you and
your whole family, because I have found you righteous in this
generation.”
(Acts 16:31) Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved--you
and your household.
2. You can make a difference for your
generation.
(Acts 13:36) For when David had served God's purpose in his own
generation, he fell asleep.
3. You can make a difference for God.
(Ezekiel 22:30) I looked for a man among them who would build
up the wall and stand before me in the gap on behalf of the land so
I would not have to destroy it, but I found none.
NOAH’S WORDS OF ENCOURAGEMENT
“Don’t be afraid to stand out in a crowd.”
(Proverbs 29:25) Fear of man will prove to be a snare, but whoever
trusts in the Lord is kept safe.
“Don’t be afraid to do something for the
first time.”
(Hebrews 11:7) By faith Noah, when warned about things not yet
seen, in holy fear built an ark to save his family. By his faith he
condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness that
comes by faith.
“When you see a rainbow, remember
that one person can make a difference.”
(Matthew 28:20 NLT) “And be sure of this: I am with you always,
even to the end of the age.”
(2 Peter 3:6-9) By these waters also the world of that time was
deluged and destroyed. By the same word the present heavens and
earth are reserved for fire, being kept for the day of judgment and
destruction of ungodly men… The Lord is not slow in keeping his
promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not
wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.
