Perhaps the Lord...Whatever it takes

There will always be a battle to fight.  Every time we turn around there is a battle.

If you're not running into the devil, you might be running with him.

There were only 600 soldiers, but only two swords in 1 Samuel 14. God loves to stack the odds against Himself, so that He can get the glory.

King Saul was hiding behind a tree.  Jonathan decided to do something about it. Jonathan and his armor bearer went to pick a fight.

1 Samuel 14:6-7  (ESV)
Jonathan said to the young man who carried his armor, “Come, let us go over to the garrison of these uncircumcised. It may be that the Lord will work for us, for nothing can hinder the Lord from saving by many or by few.” And his armor-bearer said to him, “Do all that is in your heart. Do as you wish.Behold, I am with you heart and soul.”

The church hasn't forgotten how to fight.  The Bible has authority to speak to every issue the culture brings up.  Darkness is not a force, but occupies the space that light retreats from.

The devil wants you to be more concerned about the feelings of others than our commitment to the truth.

When we say perhaps the Lord that opens the door to the power of God.  If we embrace God, we also embrace risks.

God is saying to us to give me a chance.  Our emblem is a cross which is a dangerous place.  We must not retreat to areas of comfort.

What if we try and fail?  We all fail.  Then, why are we afraid of it.  I'd rather try and fail rather than fail because I never tried.

If we hold on to comfort, we will never embrace God's best. 20 years from now we will regret the opportunities to risk rather than the risks we took, but failed.

If we knew how much God loved us, we would fear less but risk more.  Let's not pray for safety, but for opportunities. That's what Jonathan did.  He took a risk.

Do you want to see the supernatural in your life?  Then, get out there in an area that you're desperate. If you're not desperate, you don't need God.

If you can do it all by yourself, your dream is too small. When you step into the impossible, that when God shows up. For that's where God gets glory.

Saul didn't do anything wrong. He just didn't do anything at all. Don't insult a big God with little expectations.

Obedience will put you in position for God's favor.  The favor on you is not just for you, but for others. To much is given, much is required.  Grow what God has given you.
