(2 Corinthians 11:14) “And no
wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light.”
We are connected yet isolated.
(Ecclesiastes 4:12 MSG) “By yourself you're
unprotected...”
We are cause-centered yet egocentric.
(Proverbs 16:18 MSG) “First pride, then the
crash— the bigger the ego, the harder the fall.”
We are spiritual yet confused.
(Colossians 2:8) “See to it that no one takes you
captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human
tradition and the basic principles of this world rather than on Christ.”
Out of the Mask
(Philippians 2:15) “So that you may become
blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a crooked and depraved
generation, in which you shine like stars in the universe.”
1. Own your faith.
(Hebrews 11:1) “Now faith is being sure of what we
hope for and certain of what we do not see.” (1 Corinthians 1:9) “ God, who has
called you into fellowship with his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, is faithful.”
2. Choose to honor.
(1 Peter 2:17 MSG) “Treat everyone you meet with
dignity. Love your spiritual family. Revere God. Respect the government.”
(Philippians 4:8-9 ESV) “Finally, brothers,
whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure,
whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if
there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. What you have
learned and received and heard and seen in me—practice these things, and the
God of peace will be with you.
3. Develop your calling.
(Ephesians 2:10 NLT) “For we are Godʼs
masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good
things he planned for us long ago.”
4. Live to lead.
(Philippians 4:13) “ I can do everything through
him who gives me strength.”
(Matthew 17:20) “Nothing will be impossible for you"
(Ephesians 3:20-21) “Now to him who is able to do
immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at
work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout
all generations, forever and ever! Amen.” When we came there was no light. When
we left there was no darkness.
