Move Out of the Way

Hebrews 13:8  (ESV)
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.

John 15:16  (ESV)

16 You did not choose me, but I (Jesus) chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should abide, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name, he may give it to you.

God choose you.

You're His plan to reach the world.

You have your sphere of influence to reach.

We must bear fruit.

Galatians 5:22-23 (ESV)
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control...

To have the fruit of the Spirit, you must spend time with the Holy Spirit.

You are called to bear fruit.

If you have family, you have a responsibility.

If you have friends, you have a responsibility.

If you sow the seed of God's word, the harvest will come.

It can't be all about me.

If God answered all your prayers, would anyone get saved?

Jesus cried for the lost people in Jerusalem.

Matthew 23:37 (ESV)
37 “O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the city that kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to it!

How often would I (Jesus) have gathered your children together as a hen gathers her brood under her wings, and you were not willing!

Jesus rode into Jerusalem on lamb selection day for Passover.  Jesus is our Passover lamb. He died for us. He arose for us.

Matthew 28:19-20 (ESV)
19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

20 teaching them to observe all that I (Jesus) have commanded you.

And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

1. We must spend time with God.
If we do, we will love the people that God loves.  The fruit of the Spirit will come out.

2. We must spend time with other believers.

3. We must spend time with none believers.

We must share Jesus with our sphere of influence.

Paul was involved in killing Stephen; however, Jesus still reached out to him.

Acts 9:10-15  (ESV)
10 Now there was a disciple at Damascus named Ananias.

The Lord (Jesus) said to him in a vision, “Ananias.”

And he said, “Here I am, Lord.”

11 And the Lord said to him,

“Rise and go to the street called Straight, and at the house of Judas look for a man of Tarsus named Saul (Paul), for behold, he is praying,

12 and he has seen in a vision a man named Ananias come in and lay his hands on him so that he might regain his sight.”

13 But Ananias answered,

“Lord, I have heard from many about this man, how much evil he has done to your saints at Jerusalem.

14 And here he has authority from the chief priests to bind all who call on your name.”

15 But the Lord said to him,

“Go, for he is a chosen instrument of mine to carry my name before the Gentiles and kings and the children of Israel.

You can't go so far that Jesus cannot find you.

Jesus is reaching out to you, too!

Lord Jesus,   Forgive my past.  Save me.  You're the only one who can.

Lord Jesus, help me to trust you.  Help me to reach my sphere of influence.  Help me share your love with others.

Amen!
