The Enemies of Purpose

(Proverbs 29:18 MSG) If people can't see what God is doing, they stumble all over themselves; 

but when they attend to what he reveals, they are most blessed.

If you can't see it, you can't do it.  

(Psalm 16:11 NLT) You will show me the way of life (my purpose), 

granting me the joy of your presence and the pleasures of living with you forever. 

Here is the sequence. 

Know God. 

God is the answer.  

You can't solve the problem without the answer.  

Find Freedom. 

Most people feel settled or stuck.  

We must settle yesterday. 

Discover Purpose. 

You were made for something.  

Make a Difference.

Let's find what you were made for.

The Enemies of Purpose 

(Romans 12:2 NLT) 

Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. 

Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect. 

· Comparison.  

If you are a bird, don't swim. Fly.   

· Confusion. 

Psalm 139:13-16  (NIV)

¹³ For you (God) created my inmost being;

    you knit me together in my mother’s womb.

¹⁴ I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;

    your works are wonderful,
    I know that full well.

¹⁵ My frame was not hidden from you
    when I was made in the secret place,

    when I was woven together in the depths of the earth.

¹⁶ Your eyes saw my unformed body;

    all the days ordained for me were written in your book
    before one of them came to be.

· Counterfeit.

Don't copy someone else's purpose.  

God's design in me reveals God's destiny for me. 

Check these 7 areas.

1. Natural talents.

2. Spiritual gifts.

3. Inward desires.

4. Results and fruit.

5. Affirmation and recognition. 

6. Passions and convictions.

7. Circumstances and opportunity.
