Proverbs 14:12 (NLT)
12 There
is a path before each person that seems right,
but it ends in death.
but it ends in death.
We
need to learn how to hear God to get and stay on the right path.
John 10:4-5 (NLT)
4 After
he (Jesus) has gathered his own flock, he walks ahead of them, and they follow
him because they know his voice.
5 They won’t follow a
stranger; they will run from him because they don’t know his voice.”
We
must learn to identify and follow God's voice. When we study the Bible,
we learn how to identify God's voice because He wrote it.
Whatever
voice that you hear the most you respond to it the quickest. You'll start to
sound like whatever voice you hear the most.
To hear from God, we must
become more God aware and less self aware. To hear from God, we must walk
with Him wherever He's going. You've got to let Him lead.
1.
God loves you!
2.
God has a plan for you!
3.
God leaves positioning up to you!
The
sovereign will of God.
(Things God is going to do
no matter what).
Daniel 4:35 (NLT)
35 All
the people of the earth
are nothing compared to him.
He does as he pleases
among the angels of heaven
and among the people of the earth.
No one can stop him or say to him,
are nothing compared to him.
He does as he pleases
among the angels of heaven
and among the people of the earth.
No one can stop him or say to him,
‘What do you mean by doing these things?’
God
is uses people to establish His sovereign will. God looked for a girl,
Mary, who was completely sold out to Him to have His Son.
The
moral will of God. It's like the 10 commandments.
It's God's house rules. We must not shift the will of God to fit our
desires. We must yield our will to God's will.
The
personal will of God.
It's not God unwillingness to speak.
It's our unwillingness to obey. God's will is not multiple choice, but
fill in the blank. We start serving God by serving other people.
Matthew 23:11-12 (NLT)
11 The
greatest among you must be a servant.
12 But those who exalt
themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.
You're
not waiting on God. God's waiting on you.
Revelation 3:20(NLT)
20 “Look!
I (Jesus) stand at the door and knock. If you hear my voice and open the door,
I will come in, and we will share a meal together as friends.
