The Power of Persuasion

Romans 8:35-39 (ESV)
35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword?

All these bad things can happen to you.

36 As it is written,
“For your sake we are being killed all the day long;
we are regarded as sheep to be slaughtered.”
37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.

Don't judge me by what's happening to me, but what's happening in me.

38 For I am sure (persuaded) that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers,
39 nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

The three most powerful words in human vocabulary are... I am persuaded.

There is power in persuasion.  It is the root word of faith.  God gives faith.  It is a gift from God (Romans 12:3).  However, it's up to you to wake it up.

No one can take from you what God has given to you.

That's why Satan tries to get into your mind to persuade you otherwise.

The enemy will always pester you when you get closer to the will of God.

God has given you access to the will of God through the Word of God.

When you are persuaded that you are a child of the King, then you are fully persuaded that God will come to your aid.

Exodus 23:22  (ESV)
22 “But if you carefully obey his voice and do all that I say, then I (God) will be an enemy to your enemies and an adversary to your adversaries.

If you remain surrendered to God, He will come to your aid. It doesn't happen just because you go to church.

We must know God.  Find Freedom.  Discover your purpose to make a difference.

Romans 12:2  (ESV)
Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.

We must say the same things that God says and pray the same things that God prays.

John 8:32 (ESV)
32 and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

It's the knowing of the truth that sets you free.  It's being persuaded of it.

If you are fully persuaded that He is your King, He will be who He is in your life.  It's up to you to unlock who God is to you.

When light shows up, darkness must go.

How do you get persuaded?

Who are you listening to?  You can't have a positive life with negative influence.  Watch who you allow to speak into your life even Christians.

Your persuasion cannot be dependent on what you are going through.
