Where's your squad?

Proverbs 11:14 B (NLT)
there is safety in having many advisers.

We all have blind spots.  Others see things that we miss.

Psalm 1:1-3 (NLT)
Oh, the joys of those who do not
follow the advice of the wicked,
    or stand around with sinners,
    or join in with mockers.

 1. We need to silence wrong voices in our lives.

Don't base your life listening to ungodly people.

2. Choose the right close relationships.

Look for people who have a love for people and have a heart for God.  People who lift up the name of Jesus, and are for people.

3. Choose people who are surrendered to God's Word.

Allow people who obey God's word to speak into your life.  Use God's word as the standard.   The more time you spend in God's word the less time you'll live in confusion.

But they delight in the law of the Lord,
meditating on it day and night.

4. Choose people who have life experience.  Who have obeyed God over time.

They are like trees planted along the riverbank,
    bearing fruit each season.

5. Choose people who have different gifts.

When someone disagrees with you, they may be right.

Their leaves never wither,
and they prosper in all they do.

6. Be planted in a Christian small group.
