Matthew
5:7
New
King James Version
Blessed are the merciful,
For they shall obtain mercy.
Mercy
is not giving people what they deserve.
We've
become great judges of other people's sins, but great lawyers of our own.
We
must remind ourselves about how merciful God is to us.
If we
think that we can earn God's forgiveness. Then, we'll expect others to
earn our forgiveness.
The
forgiven forgive.
Let
us remember that we will all face God some day. Let's stand before God
having loved too much rather than judged too much.
God
has reconciled our sins if we will only let Him. Reconciled means to
bring it to zero.
Don't
count people's sins against them either. Being a Christian means to
forgive the inexcusable. We are called to show mercy. Mercy
triumphs over judgement.
Jesus connected before He corrected. We disappoint our own selves. Disappointment is the gap between expectation and reality. We are to show mercy to ourselves by forgiving ourselves.
