Compassion that moves us

On Wednesday night, I had a horrible headache.  I was keeping our toddler, and trying to allow my wife who is pregnant to sleep through the night.  My toddler was screaming at the top of his lungs. It was almost unbearable.

My wife who is a nurse came and patiently took care of me and saved me from it.

I've always thought that if anyone brought up a headache that they were making excuses.  Now, I know better.

Aren't you glad that God is not like I was?  Our God can identify with our pain.

That's why Jesus came to know our human experience.  Jesus was moved with compassion for us (Matthew 9:36).

Jesus just wasn't moved with compassion, but He did something about it.  He came to save us.  He wants to be present with us in our pain, and walk through it with us in it.

Let's worship Him for He is our great God. Worship is responding to who He is.
