As a kid in school, we used to have practice tornado drills.
We kind of walked through the process.
One day there was a real tornado, and there was renewed vigor.
We need to have renewed vigor for the lost.
In John chapter 4, Jesus witnessed to a Samaritan woman; however, His disciples were only interested in food, and not in the souls of those men and women.
Jesus told them to look at the fields that they were ripe enough to harvest.
Scholars believe that as they spoke the entire town was approaching to meet Jesus.
If our eyes are open, the harvest is ready.
Let's quit going through the motions like that tornado drill.
If we'd just look, they are ripe for harvest!
I just returned from Japan where they are in the midst of a revival at Lighthouse Church.
They say that Japan can't be reached with the gospel, but it is happening at Lighthouse Church in Japan.
They've had 2,000 go through their growth track this year!
I went to their prayer meeting, and I don't speak Japanese.
A little girl came forward to pray for Hiroshima. Her eyes were closed, but they were open. She saw the lost.
She prayed as if it was the Lord praying. It was with passion.
God is doing something new in our church. I'm seeing urgency.
It's time to pray with passion. This is not a drill.
