God takes great delight in us when we
declare our dependence upon Him.
Our Father takes great joy in taking
care of us.
This is how we access God's provisions.
Matthew 6:10-11 (ESV)
10 Your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
11 Give us this day our daily bread
your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
11 Give us this day our daily bread
1. We begin by putting God's kingdom
first.
God's kingdom must be our
priority. Prayer is not building our kingdom, but prioritizing His
Kingdom. The kingdom is wherever the rule and the reign of the King
is.
Jesus did not come to take
sides. He came to take over. In the kingdom, we don't have a vote. We
don't like for people to tell us what to do.
There is something greater than
your own agenda. It is the agenda of the King because we lack perspective.
Romans 14:17(ESV)
17 For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking
but of righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.
The kingdom consist of righteousness to help us make the right choices. A peace that passes our reasoning. A joy that is not
dependent on circumstances.
Where the rule and reign of God is. That is the kingdom of
God.
Luke 12:32 (ESV)
32 “Fear not, little flock, for it is your Father's
good pleasure to give you the kingdom.
We want earth to be run like heaven with God on the throne. This church is not about a personality, but the presence of the
King.
It takes all different kinds of churches to reach
all different kinds of people.
We will lock arms with them. We won't
criticize them. We're not about egos, or logos. We're about the
kingdom.
We are to be ambassador in a dark
place. If you are in Christ, when you show up for work, the King has
arrived because the King is in you.
An ambassador doesn't speak their own
agenda, but the will of the King.
2. Next, God's will must be our desire. We must not invoke God to bless what we are
doing. We must ask God what are you blessing and help me to get in
it.
Start doing what God is blessing. Get in the flow of God's
favor. We do not want what we want then convince ourselves that God wants it
to.
The tipping point of humanity's salvation happened in
the Garden of Gethsemane.
Luke 22:39-42 (ESV)
39 And he (Jesus) came out and went, as was his custom, to the
Mount of Olives, and the disciples followed him.
40 And when he came to the place, he said to them, “Pray
that you may not enter into temptation.”
41 And he withdrew from them about a stone's throw,
and knelt down and prayed,
42 saying, “Father, if you are willing, remove this
cup from me. Nevertheless, not my will, but yours, be done.”
Victory happened not by
strength but by surrender. That when God's strength shows up.
Get out of
God's way and let Him show up. Give Him the ball and let Him do what He does.
How could we who know nothing
tell God what to do who knows everything?
We must surrender our wills to
Him.
If you'll invite God in, He'll do
for you what you could never do in a thousand years.
God can't put anything in a
closed fist. We must open our hands for God to bless us.
We must let
go to let God. If you release what's in your hands, God will release
what's in His hands.
I've held many things in my
hands and have lost them all. What I've placed in God's hands, I still
possess. Martin Luther King, Jr.
3. God's provision is our
source.
We pray for God's
Kingdom. Next, we pray for His will. Then, we can ask Him for what
we need.
We want what God wants for us whatever it is. Whatever you're real need is. God will provide.
In lack, there is fear.
The devil wants you to worry. Worry is a sign that you've forgotten that
God is with you in the room.
When you are tempted to worry,
why not worship? Isn't God trustworthy?
Philippians 4:19 (ESV)
19 And my God will supply every need of
yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
