Dreams

The man without a dream is always at the mercy to a man with a dream.

A dream allows you to see something in your future which is not in your present.

Genesis 37:5 (ESV)
Now Joseph had a dream, and when he told it to his brothers they hated him even more.

God is a dream giver so be ready. Make sure your heart stays on green.   Dreams are a glimpse of what can be.

God wants to give you a dream for your life.  We must be sure of the source of our dreams.  Did it come from God or your own flesh?

A God given dream will line up with God's word, the Bible.  God gets blamed for a lot of stuff that He's not responsible for.

Write what God tells you in a journal, but keep it to yourself.  If it is from God, it will come true. God guarantees His dreams not ours.

If it's a God given dream, God is obligated to supply what He's called for us to do.

When we dream, we must close our eyes to what is to see what God will perform. With God, no dream is too extreme.

Genesis 37:6-11 New Living Translation (NLT)
“Listen to this dream,” he said. “We were out in the field, tying up bundles of grain. Suddenly my bundle stood up, and your bundles all gathered around and bowed low before mine!”
His brothers responded, “So you think you will be our king, do you? Do you actually think you will reign over us?” And they hated him all the more because of his dreams and the way he talked about them.
Soon Joseph had another dream, and again he told his brothers about it. “Listen, I have had another dream,” he said. “The sun, moon, and eleven stars bowed low before me!”
10 This time he told the dream to his father as well as to his brothers, but his father scolded him. “What kind of dream is that?” he asked. “Will your mother and I and your brothers actually come and bow to the ground before you?” 11 But while his brothers were jealous of Joseph, his father wondered what the dreams meant.

There will always be haters, so be humble.  You can't talk about dreams without the struggle. Don't spend a lot of time thinking about your haters.

The minute you respond to drama you become part of the cast.  Don't listen to your critics more than the Christ.

We are quick to post, but we are slow to ponder God's dreams.  Posting your dreams will get you into trouble.  Your dreams are fragile in their infancy.

Genesis 37:18-20 (NLT)
18 When Joseph’s brothers saw him coming, they recognized him in the distance. As he approached, they made plans to kill him. 19 “Here comes the dreamer!” they said. 20 “Come on, let’s kill him and throw him into one of these cisterns. We can tell our father, ‘A wild animal has eaten him.’ Then we’ll see what becomes of his dreams!”

1.God is a dream giver, so be ready.
2. There will always be haters, so stay humble.
3. God's timing is absolutely perfect,so be patient.

There was a famine coming.  God will use trials and trouble as transportation.  God was going to use Joseph to save His family from famine. Will this dream ever happen?

Habakkuk 2:2-3 (NLT)
2 Then the Lord said to me,
“Write my answer plainly on tablets,
so that a runner can carry the correct message to others.
This vision is for a future time.
It describes the end, and it will be fulfilled.
If it seems slow in coming, wait patiently,
for it will surely take place.
    It will not be delayed.

1.  You seed it by holding it in your heart.

2.  You feed it with the Word of God.

3.  You weed it by removing doubt and unbelief.

God is always doing more than you think that He is.  When God seems quite, He's up to something.
