LIVING BEYOND MYSELF

(Proverbs 9:6 MSG) Leave your impoverished confusion and live! Walk up the street to a life with meaning.

1. Love God passionately.

(Acts 17:26-28) From one man he made every nation of men, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he determined the times set for them and the exact places where they should live.

God did this so that men would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from each one of us. “For in him we live and move and have our being.”

(Colossians 1:16 MSG) For everything, absolutely everything, above and below, visible and invisible…everything got started in him and finds its purpose in him.

(Ephesians 2:10) For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

2. Serve others selflessly.

(1 Timothy 6:18-19) Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share. In this way they will lay up treasure for themselves as a firm foundation for the coming age, so that they may take hold of the life that is truly life.

(Psalm 112:9 NLT) They share freely and give generously to those in need. Their good deeds will be remembered forever. They will have influence and honor.

(John 6:27) Do not work for food that spoils, but for food that endures to eternal life.

(Mark 8:35 NLT) If you try to keep your life for yourself, you will lose it. But if you give up your life for my sake and for the sake of the Good News, you will find true life.

3. Live life intentionally.

(Acts 13:36) For when David had served God's purpose in his own generation, he fell asleep.
